What we send

DeskPilot sends one type of message: call-alert notifications. These are triggered automatically when your AI receptionist captures an inbound call from one of your customers. Each alert contains the caller's name (if provided), callback number, a short summary of what they need, and an urgency flag.

We do not send marketing, promotional, advertising, or third-party messages of any kind. We do not share or sell phone numbers with any third party for messaging purposes.

Sample messages

Sample 1

DeskPilot: New call captured. Sarah K. (555-412-9087). Water heater leak. URGENCY: high. Tap deskpilotvoice.com to view. Reply STOP to unsubscribe.

Sample 2

DeskPilot: [TEST] Your alerts are working. You'll get a message like this whenever your AI catches a new call. Reply STOP to unsubscribe.

Message frequency

Frequency varies — you receive one SMS for each inbound call your AI receptionist captures. For most small businesses this means between 0 and 20 messages per month. There is no scheduled or broadcast messaging.

Message and data rates may apply per your mobile carrier's plan.

How you opt in to SMS notifications

Customers create a DeskPilot account at deskpilotvoice.com/signup and complete a five-step onboarding wizard. Step 4 (Notifications) is where SMS consent is collected.

When a user selects Text me or Both as their notification method, the page reveals:

  • An input field for the user's cell phone number.
  • A required, unchecked-by-default consent checkbox alongside the disclosure text shown below.
  • A Continue button that remains disabled until the checkbox is ticked and the phone number is valid.

Consent is recorded server-side with a timestamp, the verbatim disclosure text shown to the user, and a version tag — preserving an audit trail in the event of dispute.

Verbatim disclosure shown next to the checkbox

“I agree to receive SMS notifications from DeskPilot about new calls and leads at the phone number I provided. Message frequency varies (typically one message per inbound call captured by your AI receptionist). Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe, HELP for help. See Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.”

How to opt out

You can opt out of SMS alerts at any time using any of these methods:

  • Reply STOP (or STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT) to any DeskPilot text message. You will receive one final confirmation message, then all future SMS will stop immediately.
  • Disable SMS alerts in your DeskPilot dashboard under Receptionist Settings → Call alerts.
  • Send us a message via our contact form (support@deskpilotvoice.com) and we'll remove your number manually within one business day.

Opting out of SMS does not affect your DeskPilot account or your email alerts. You can re-subscribe at any time by replying UNSTOP or START, or by re-enabling SMS in your dashboard.
