How DeskPilot works

Four steps. Setup takes about 5 minutes once. After that, the AI catches every missed call automatically, forever.

1

1. Sign up and set up your AI

Pick your industry (plumbing, HVAC, electrical, etc.) and we pre-load a script tailored to common calls in that line of work. Describe your business in your own words — the AI uses it to answer FAQ-type questions. Pick which details the AI should always collect (name, callback number, address, urgency, best time to call back).

2

2. Keep your existing business number

We give you a behind-the-scenes phone number. Your customers never see it — it's just plumbing. On your existing business phone, you dial one short code (e.g. *72 on Verizon) once. That tells your carrier: when calls aren't answered, route them to the AI number.

3

3. AI picks up what you miss

When you can't answer — you're on a job, asleep, on the other line — the call jumps to the AI. It greets the caller using the script for your industry, asks the questions you configured, repeats their number back to confirm, and wraps up the call naturally. Sounds like a real receptionist.

4

4. You get the lead within seconds

The moment the call ends, a text lands on your cell with the caller's name, callback number, what they need, and urgency flag (LOW / MED / HIGH). The full transcript and call summary live in your dashboard — searchable, marked unread until you read them.
